Shitalkumar Patel

Shitalkumar Patel is a founding member of Aroneu and its Managing Director, India. He leads the company's team at GIFT City, Gujarat, and is responsible for the culture it works in every day.

His career spans more than 20 years of building operations from scratch, from a back office serving US retailers such as Zales, Macy's and Walmart to co-founding Nuance Jewel, a diamond jewellery manufacturer in Mumbai that he grew to more than 1,200 people across five units, certified by the Responsible Jewellery Council. Nuance sells through partners in the United States, the United Kingdom, Australia and the UAE, and Shitalkumar travelled to set up and run small Nuance teams inside those partners' offices. Fine jewellery for international buyers leaves no room for error, and he ran it by Kaizen, lean management and Six Sigma: small improvements every day, waste removed from every process and decisions based on measurement.

At Aroneu he brings the same discipline to software. His aim is an Indian engineering team that works to European standards out of habit, with clear processes, honest measurement and steady improvement, so that clients in Germany and across Europe can rely on every release.
